Launching a book is very much like launching a boat. A ship builder uses all the best materials he can find, works night and day, and asks the best inspectors to look it over. By the time it launches the only questions that remain are . . . Will it sink? Or will it float?
So it is with novels. Writers work night and day on a story. Editors help make the book sound. Graphic artists put a face to it. The copy editor checks and double checks spelling, punctuation, and typesetting. And then all at once it's time to launch and see if it floats.
For this launch, I wanted to do something different. I've joined forces with a new author, Karen Tuft, whose debut novel, Reality Check, is coming out at the same time as Cold Justice.
It's going to be sooooo much fun. We have prizes (two very cute toy polar bears and Karen has two very cute toy pigs, plus we have some other stuff) to give away, refreshments (yummy eclairs), a guitarist will play for your entertainment, and, of course, we have our brand new novels to sell.
I hope you'll join us.
