S is for Saturday

Saturday is a very busy day around my house. It starts with a visit to Jenny Craig. I'm only four pounds away from my goal. But last night I ate a small bucket (yes, a bucket **holds head down in shame**) of popcorn at the movies, so I might be further away than that. But it's all good. I plan to meet my goal by the end of May. A slip once in a while is understandable.
Then I'm off to watch my grandson play soccer, another good "S" word. It's so much fun to watch those little guys running up and down the field.
And then . . . I'm back home doing Saturday chores which includes not only housework and yard work, but I'm hopeful to squeeze in some writing time.

What do you do on Saturdays?

  1. Saturdays at my house are cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, mail, bills, and any other catch up needed for the week. Hope you enjoy the day :)

    1. Martha,
The day was a lot of work, but fun getting together with family. I hope yours went well.

  2. My Saturday usually consists of laundry, keeping the peace between the boys, trying to get the house tidy (usually resulting in failure) wanting to get some writing time or reading time, cleaning freshly trampled in mud from the carpets and playing with my youngest son.

    1. Nicky,
You have a great deal going on. What a wonderful mother you must be. I'll bet you have more successes than you realize. And your boys will always remember their mother playing with them. :)

  3. Kathi, Popcorn is a whole grain you're ok UNLESS you ate the buttered kind. I am sure you will soon make up for that snack.
S and saturday is your post, since I have been retired the weekends are not much different from the weekdays. We just do what is needed and what we WANT to do each day. I had planned a trip to visit my son who has a birthday next week, but got up and had problems with the refrigerator so spent the morning messing with that and fretting do we have to buy a new one or can this one be fixed....
Hubby got it fixed for now so hoping it will purr along a little longer.

    1. Paula,
Refrigerator trouble is the worst, well next to car trouble and computer crashes, but it ranks right up there in the top five. I hope it purrs along for quite a while. :)

  4. Hi, Kathi. I haven't been around for ages, sorry. Saturdays? I tend to clean, as a friend of DH's comes to watch soccer. Then I slip away to write.

    Enjoy your free time.

  5. Saturday for me usually means working on something around the house, repairing, or building something. Don't get me wrong, I'm, just the gopher. My boyfriend does the technical stuff :-)

Kathi, thanks for stopping by my blog.

  6. On Saturdays, I do the same as I do every day of the week: write. And of course on April Saturdays, I visit other blogs.
