Scary Yet Happy Day!!!

I don't usually post a blog on Thursdays, well except for last Thursday, but that was because of the blog campaign I joined, or except when I have a blog tour, or . . . Okay, I occasionally blog on Thursdays for special events. Better?

Today something very special happened.

My book, River Whispers,

was reviewed in The Deseret News.

It's always a little scary to read a review. My palms become sweaty, I have to blink several times to focus, and all the while I'm praying under my breath "please like it, please like it."

Happy day, the reviewer liked my book. You can read the review in Thursday's Mormon Times section or click here for the online version.

Reviews like this make all the blood, sweat, and tears of writing a novel worth it. 8o)

Tell me, how do you feel when you read a review about your novel or manuscript?

  1. Congrats! Wow, what a great feeling that must be. I know it's got to be hard just reading any review, not knowing if it's going to be good or bad. Hopefully one day I'll have the pleasure of deciding whether I want to read review of my book or not :).

  2. Becca:
Well, at first I was nervous, but pretty soon curiosity got the better of me and I had to find out. It's like an out of body experience because part of you is standing there biting fingernails and another part of you is reading each and every word.

Hang in there. Someday you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. :)
