Fishing with My Mom.

I wanted to share with you
this fun interview where
I was asked about
fishing with my mom.

That dumb look on my face...
well there's a reason for that.
You'll have to listen to the story. ;)

I'd love to hear about your fun
memories with your loved ones.

  1. What precious memories! I have a fun fishing story too. My hubby and I were newly married, and accompanied his parents on a trip north to lake country. We went to one of their old fishing holes which was fed by a stream that was only 6 inches deep for a long stretch. I didn't grow up fishing like his family, so I stood at the edge messing around while just dropping my hook in and out of shallowest part of the water.

My inlaws were laughing at me, and my hubby had no sooner said "You'll never catch anything like that"--when I snagged a huge fish by the stomach! It scared the living daylights out of me and managed to wiggle free, but nobody has ever made fun of my fishing skills since!

  2. Tracy,
What a great fishing story! And you can always bring up that not everyone can catch a fish by the stomach. Takes a special skill. :)

Thanks for sharing it with me.

  3. What a lovely story. I remember teaching my girls to fish behind DH's back.He always took our son, and when I was free I would join them. Our girls were sent to grans house and were happy to do so. However, they decided they wanted to join in with the three of us, so I gave them lessons when he wasn't around. One day I told him the girls were coming with us, and he pulled a face. His face changed when he watched them pull out rods I had purchased and hidden. They baited up and cast out. He was thrilled and we had many happy days together.

  4. Glynis,
What a wonderful memory. Your girls will always remember fishing with you, believe I know. ;)
