Let's get ready for the virtual roundup.
Here's your hat.
A pair of riding chaps.
And some stylin' boots.
You're going to need a horse.
Let's see if I can't find one
that isn't going to roll over on you and buck.
River Whispers.

This is the horse I have for you.
Let's get in the mood for this adventure.
Sit back and enjoy
the wonderful scenery
and theme song to
The Big Country,
one of my favorite Westerns.
What's your favorite Western movie?

Interesting storyline. I think I'll pass on the horse, if the one that's rolling over is included. It'd be just my luck to be on its back when it decided to do that. =D
ReplyDeleteFavorite western movie? I'm hoping my new favorite will be "Cowboys and Aliens". I don't know if I can only choose one. I love 'Silverado', 'Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid', 'She Wore a Yellow Ribbon', 'Sons of Katie Elder' ... to name a few.
Donna,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the horse. Oh the stories I could tell you.
I'm hopeful about the new western too. Cowboys and Aliens, who would have thought. :)
LOVE your blog tours! You have great ideas and put a TON of work into them.
ReplyDeleteFavorite western? Does The Quiet Man count? Maverick?
I don't really have a favorite western, but I do love books. I love all of the Louis L'More books. He is amazing.
ReplyDeleteTaffy,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like my tours.
Yes, The Quiet Man counts. I loved that flick. And Maverick was a classic with James Garner as the dad.
Thanks for stopping by.
Patty Ann,
ReplyDeleteBooks work especially from Louis L'Amour. Thanks for stopping by.
my favorite western is the TV show Dr. Quinn.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI loved Dr. Quinn. Thanks for reminding me. :)
I was going to say the "Trinity" series from when I was a girl, but then others reminded me of Maverick and Dr. Quinn (every girl needs a Sully!) Bringing back the memories...
ReplyDeleteRandi,
ReplyDeleteSully was to die for. I wonder whatever happened to him. He must have taken Dr. Quinn and rode off in the sunset together. :)
I hope your tour is going great!!!
ReplyDeleteTerri,
ReplyDeleteIt's getting better every day. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you join in the fun. :)
I have a friend writing a western themed book for YA - she's worried the market isn't there. Do you think there is a turn back in that direction?
ReplyDeleteChristina,
ReplyDeleteThe market is very hard to predict. I would say to your friend write what's in your heart because if you try to write what the market is looking for by the time you finish the book it could change. Always best to follow your heart and what you know best. :)
