Blog Awards

I’ve been given some wonderful blog awards and just haven’t had the time to give them away until today.

Two wonderful bloggers gave me the Versatility Blogger Award: RaShelle and Sharon

I received the Butterfly Award from Stina

And I received One Lovely Blog Award from Suzie.

Now when you receive an award, you need to share the love and these are the rules:
Rules:

1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass the award to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who think you are fantastic for whatever reason! (In no particular order...)
4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

Seven things about me…
1. If I open a bag of Black Forest Gummy Cherries I eat the entire bag.
2. My favorite breakfast food is French Toast for breakfast, but I only eat it maybe four times a year because I’m perpetually trying to eat healthy.
3. I average 6 miles on the cycle machine every time I go to the gym (3 days a weeks).
4. I’ve herded cattle with my sister, Mustang Jo.
5. No matter how hard I try I can’t get up on water skies.
6. I love snow. There’s something about the first snowfall of the year that’s magical.
7. And since we just celebrated the 4th of July,  I love to sit on my deck with my family and watch the fireworks in the valley.

I’m passing a choice of one award (which ever one they want) to the following wonderful bloggers:

Stina
Suzie
Rebecca
Ali
Abby
Jana
Cheri
Char
Carolyn
Christine
Cricket
Heather
Jemi
Krista
Rachel

Have a great Monday!

  2. Congrats on your awards! I like your 7 things. My husband's favorite breakfast is French toast, too. I surprise him with it for breakfast every now and then!

I also love snow! I just wish it wasn't so dangerous. I always feel very happy and cozy during the first snowfall (it IS so magical! especially around Christmas), but it makes me apprehensive too, knowing so many people have to drive around in it.

  3. Awww - thanks Kathi! You're a sweetie :)

I love that you've herded cattle - I grew up wanting desperately to work on a horse ranch and to go on a cattle run. Love it!!!

Thanks again :) Hope your holiday weekend was terrific!

  4. Mason,
Thanks! I regret telling some of my hidden secrets (eating the bag of candy. What will my kids think?). Oh well. We all have our vices. ;)

  5. Laura,
I know what you mean about hating to drive in the snow. And I do worry for those traveling on icy roads.

But there's something magical about snow swirling in the chilly air that makes me think anything is possible.

  6. Jemi:

The cattle drive--my sister is a cattle whisperer. Really. She can get cattle to go wherever she wants them to. She took me on a drive because I was researching a book. Nothing like the smell of cattle to really set you in the scene. :)

  8. Kathi, thank you! And I'm afraid we're going to have to disagree on the magical-ness of snow:)

  9. Thanks so much for thinking of me! I'm still fairly new at this blogging thing, so I need all the encouragement I can get! And while I've never tried Black Forest cherry gummies, I could definitely eat a whole bag of Reese's Cup minis or Dove milk chocolate! (As long as I had plenty of milk!)

  10. Krista,
    You're welcome!

You don't think snow is magical?
    :( I'm sorry and sad.

How about we agree to disagree on the subject? ;)

  11. Jana,
    You're welcome!

Anything chocolate gets my attention. The gummies cherries are something I can mindlessly eat and eat.

However, yesterday I managed not to eat the entire package.

There's hope for me yet. ;)

  12. YAY! for awards. I have gotten a lot but I was so bad at acknowledging them that people gave up. But they are fun huh?

  22. Congratulations on the awards!

I've never heard of cherry gummies. They sound yummy. I can't water ski either. I gaved up trying a few years ago. I tube...

  23. Sharon,
It's probably a good thing that you didn't know about gummy cherries. I wish I hadn't because...like I said, once the bag is opened I have no control.

I haven't tried tubing. I'll bring that up next time. :)

  24. Thanks Kathi! I have tried to leave a comment earlier but keep having issues with the comments form (not just on your blog). I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

  25. Rebecca,
You're welcome! :) Glad you were finally able to leave a comment. Sometimes those internet gremlins cause so much trouble.
